This treasure from Africa is made by Ajala Chocolate Factory from Ugandan cocoa beans from the Semuliki forest, where the Latitude trade co. fermentation plant and social enterprise operates. The latter buys organic cocoa beans from local farmers at fair prices, provides them with insurance, education about farming and also supports their families. Uganda won a bronze medal at the prestigious International Chocolate Awards in 2022.
